Trussell Trust foodbanks are based around the principle of neighbour helping neighbour. Christmas is always the time of year that we see this shining through the most. Whether its the school-child raising some money, former recipients wanting to give back or other local residents just wanting to make a difference to someones life. The food and donations flow in. We are at a point now that we are almost at capacity in our cellars. Its wonderful to witness such generosity. So, what we would say is, if you were planning on donating food to us and haven’t collected anything yet, why not wait until the New Year. Often by the end of January/February the rate of donations will have dropped a bit, but the need is just as great as winter bills start to come in. It would be great to see you in the New Year.
