About
About our foodbank
Thirteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK. Since December 2012 Arnold Foodbank has been providing a minimum of 3 days emergency food to help people in a crisis. The Foodbank is supported and run by the Community, including the local churches and businesses. Around 30 volunteers help to keep us going each week. Without them we would be unable to open.
In 2020 we made up 2764 parcels enough food for 6317 people. A third of that was for children.
In 2024/25 financial year we have gave out food to 6487 people.
We will try and cater for all diets and special needs including Halal and Gluten Free. Many living in temporary accommodation only have a kettle.
We also provide on-site Citizens Advice appointments and debt advice for those referred to us. In the first 3 years of running this service the team made over £500,000 of gains for Foodbank users.
